The investment fund expects to expand its portfolio considerably in the coming years. In order to strengthen the M&A team our client is looking for an Investment Associate.
The Investment Associate will become part of our client's M&A team and will be responsible for the coordination and execution of all transaction processes, the coordination of the post-deal integration of acquisitions, market analyses and the preparation of strategy and valuation reports. She or he will also be involved in the search and selection of potential targets, will prepare business cases and will be a linking pin in the M&A process. The Investment Associate will support and work closely within the M&A team from the Amsterdam office and will require an open and creative mindset, and ability to work in close cooperation with other departments.
What will you be doing as an Investment Associate?
Manage deal processes;
Target search and selection
Prepare, review and mark up deal process letters: LOIs, NDAs, Term sheets, Offer Letters
Prepare business cases: modelling and reporting
Coordinate due diligence processes with advisors
Participate in deal negotiations
Support and manage documentation: Share Purchase Agreement review, including coordination with lawyers, and the notary
Prepare internal approval reports
Fund flow preparation
Manage post-deal processes
Coordinate workstreams in the period from pre-operations to operations
Coordinate (re)financing processes: banking presentations and modelling
Value Creation Plan: prepare and execute
Strategic role
Country and market analysis
Strategy reporting
Fund role
Valuation reporting on the portfolio companies
Assisting in the preparation of investor reports
Assist in fundraising
Who are you?
A hands-on, proactive, accurate and flexible person with strong analytical skills;
Background in analysis, modelling and interpreting financial information;
Excellent skills in Excel, Powerpoint and power BI tools;
Able to interact with a variety of internal and external parties, great communication skills;
5-7 years experience as a financial analyst, in financial or commercial transactions services or specialist, corporate finance advisor, strategy consultant;
Professional proficiency in Dutch and English;
University (Master) degree in Economics / corporate finance / accounting / valuations.
