Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Investment Director Private Debt for our client. This role, based in Amsterdam, involves managing exceptional deal flow and engaging with a diverse, pan-European client base of high-growth, technology-enabled businesses, many of which are Venture Capital-backed. This dynamic environment offers opportunities to develop broad skills in debt advisory and private credit execution, with significant client interaction. Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Deal Execution: Manage day-to-day deal execution, serving as the primary contact for transaction teams, clients, lawyers, and lenders.
- Strategic Advice & Transaction Structuring: Assist in developing strategic advice and structuring transactions.
- Client Relationship Building: Cultivate new client and introducer relationships, attend industry events, and expand the client portfolio.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including financial statement reviews, financial modeling, and criteria assessments to present options to clients.
- Lender Research: Conduct lender research and gather market and client-specific details to present viable debt options.
- Transaction Preparation & Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate transaction terms.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, lawyers, and finance providers.
Who You Are:
- Experience: A proven track record in delivering results in capital (debt) transactions with a minimum of 7 years in banking or debt advisory, preferably in Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, Origination, Relationship Management, or Credit.
- Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch (German is a plus).
- Professionalism: Professional maturity and experience to build relationships with senior team members, clients, lending institutions, and partners.
- Multitasking: Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, working effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage junior team members.
