Given Sensoterra’s sustained growth, further expansion of its team is warranted. On behalf of Sensoterra, we are looking for an innovative product manager in Houten, The Netherlands. As a product engineer, you will champion the company’s innovative solutions and make sure these are at the cutting edge of technological advancement. You will liaise with suppliers on specific components and services and carefully balance technology, user experience, and business requirements. It will be you driving development of technological solutions, which in turn determines key choices for product configuration, components, and suppliers. To support the team and excel in this role, a technical background in Systems Engineering or ICT is required. You would be leading our technological developments, and responsibilities include:
Driving our leading technology roadmap, supported by your knowledge of the newest technologies like IoT, Cloud Services, Infrastructure, and others. Your main tasks will be developing our products and ensuring smooth operation of our system infrastructure. We would like to work with you to improve the integration of our sensors to ensure high customer satisfaction and ensure our product's success.
About the role:
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be part of a small team that is proactive and strives to make a difference. You will be our go-to for integrating with network provider APIs, developing our backend and gateway configurations, and testing our new product improvements. Collaborating with colleagues from different backgrounds is essential to success on projects. With your knowledge, experience, and analytical skills, you can tackle any project. This will make you the go-to person for technical product knowledge.

Profile
Master’s degree in Technical Informatics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, ICT, or related field, or comparable knowledge acquired through experience
At least one (1) year of experience with a server-side web programming language and, back-end software development, and working with hardware, with track record of success in technological innovation, teamwork, and supplier and end user relationships
Knowledge of Python programming language
Familiar with LoRaWan/IoT
Background in requirements management, certification processes, and second line support
Knowledge of integrated systems (hardware and software)
Ability to monitor our portfolio of hardware, firmware software, and integrations
Battle-tested written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and affinity with numbers
Independent and flexible, unfazed under pressure and intellectually curious
Completely comfortable with MS Office applications and virtual meeting technology
