Have you managed situations of (upcoming) financial distress and accelerated operational improvements in corporate firms, PE portfolio companies or large private businesses?
Have you successfully planned and executed turnaround strategies, strategic portfolio choices, rapid cost reduction opportunities, working capital improvements and scenario analysis?
If so, you have the opportunity to lead a Distressed Operational Restructuring (‘DOR’) team as part of the Business Restructuring Services team in one of the 'Big Five' consultancy firms.
What you will be doing:
In the aforementioned situations, value is very often created through accelerated M&A, accelerated commercial improvements, rapid cost reduction and working capital optimization.
Together with your team, you will drive change and realise the projected value in the clearly defined turnaround plan.
Stakeholders relationships are complex but fundamental during the transformation phases. You will be rebuilding credibility and reassuring stakeholders about the decisions to be made in the company. You will be the person making the difference in these type of situations.

You are:
As a director you are trusted in successfully leading and growing the team for Distressed Operational Restructuring.
You will focus on advising, supporting and providing solutions for high-profile clients experiencing stress/distress to their business model and successfully implement, together with a cross-functional team, turnarounds spanning a broad range of industries.
You will provide guidance to operational and financial restructuring processes in collaboration with your restructuring colleagues and other specialists within the company's network.
Your social and commercial skillset enable you to build a trustworthy professional relationships and networks.
Consulting, leadership and commercial skills:
Leading and developing successful teams;
Advisory experience from management/strategy consulting, restructuring firms, another Big 5 firm, or as an internal consultant in a corporation;
Building and maintaining an Industry network;
Run operational restructuring projects with strong project management skills.
Financial skills:
In depth understanding of financing structures and distressed M&A processes, willing to cooperate with other specialists in the firm;
Realize quick cash from operations through working capital optimisation;
Strong financial experience with focus on cash generation and preservation.
Stakeholder Management skills:
Experience in dealing with (financial) stakeholders and key financers and funders;
Comfortable with challenging stakeholder situations and understanding their behaviors;
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
